Taylor Swift is adding another major honour to her collection, this time for her work as a director.
The 14-time Grammy winner will receive the MTV Video Music Awards’ first-ever Artist-Director Award, a newly introduced honour recognising musicians whose work behind the camera has influenced music videos and visual storytelling.
MTV and CBS said the award celebrates artists with a sustained and influential body of work who have pushed creative boundaries and developed a distinctive directorial voice.
Swift has established herself as a director alongside her music career, earning seven VMA nominations for Best Director and winning the category four times.
Her directing credits include The Fate of Ophelia, Opalite and Anti-Hero, adding another dimension to her already extensive career in the entertainment industry.

Swift will receive the new award during this year’s MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, which will be hosted by Snoop Dogg and broadcast live from Los Angeles on CBS and MTV.
The ceremony will also be available to stream on Paramount+ in the United States, while international audiences will be able to watch it on Paramount+ and MTV the following day.
The new honour adds to a growing list of milestones for Swift, who has already made VMA history through both her music and visual work.
