Pop superstar Taylor Swift is dealing with a legal setback just weeks ahead of her rumored wedding to Travis Kelce this June.

A lawsuit filed on March 30 in California by Las Vegas performer Maren Wade claims that Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, infringes on Wade’s 2015 cabaret brand, Confessions of a Showgirl. The dispute focuses on merchandise, including hoodies, candles, drinkware, and hairbrushes, rather than the music itself.

Wade alleges that the similarity between the album branding and her cabaret brand could confuse fans and harm her business. Swift reportedly attempted to trademark the album title but was denied by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office due to a “likelihood of confusion.”

Why Taylor Swift’s Secret UK Trip Has Fans Speculating

The lawsuit names Swift, her company TAS Rights Management, Universal Music Group, and merchandise distributor Bravado, seeking both damages and a halt to sales of the contested products.

This legal challenge arrives amid Swift’s busy personal and professional life, as she prepares for her June 13 wedding in Rhode Island and continues to dominate charts with her album.

Romance, music, and now legal drama — Taylor Swift is truly juggling it all.
