Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, Syed Asim Munir, has reiterated the country’s commitment to continuing counterterrorism efforts, emphasizing that operations will continue until long-term peace and stability are secured across the nation.
Military Awards Ceremony Held at GHQ
According to the military’s media wing, the remarks were made during an investiture ceremony held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. During the event, Field Marshal Asim Munir presented military awards to officers and soldiers of the armed forces in recognition of acts of bravery and distinguished service.
The ceremony honored personnel who demonstrated exceptional courage during operations and those who rendered significant services to the country.
Awards Presented to Officers and Soldiers
According to the official statement, a total of 50 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 12 Tamgha-i-Basalat awards were conferred during the ceremony.
Several honors were awarded posthumously to military personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. Their medals were received by family members during the ceremony as a tribute to their sacrifices.

Addressing participants at the event, Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to the country’s martyrs and veterans, describing them as a source of pride for the nation.
