Alan Cumming has added another major accolade to his growing collection, winning his third Emmy for hosting Peacock’s reality competition show The Traitors.
The 61-year-old actor took home the award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday, September 5.
The latest victory extends Cumming’s remarkable winning streak in the category.

Cumming previously won the same Emmy in 2024 and 2025, after taking over as host of The Traitors when the show debuted in 2023.
His third consecutive win saw him beat a strong field of nominees, including RuPaul Charles for RuPaul’s Drag Race, Kristen Kish for Top Chef, Ariana Madix for Love Island USA and Jeff Probst for Survivor.
The latest award further cements Cumming’s association with the hit reality competition series.

Cumming has hosted The Traitors since its first season in 2023, bringing his distinctive style and theatrical personality to the show.
The Peacock series features contestants competing in a castle while attempting to identify hidden “Traitors” among them.
The actor’s continued success at the Emmys has made him one of the standout hosts in the reality television category.
‘The Traitors: New Blood’ coming to NBC
Cumming is also set to host a new version of the franchise, The Traitors: New Blood.
Unlike the original series, which features celebrity contestants, the new show will feature an all-civilian cast.
The Traitors: New Blood is scheduled to premiere on NBC on Thursday, September 17.
The new series gives Cumming another opportunity to lead the franchise as it expands to a broader audience.
2026 Creative Arts Emmys ceremony
The 78th Emmy Awards’ Creative Arts ceremony was held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The event will be edited into a single television broadcast scheduled to air on Saturday, September 12, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FXX.
The ceremony will also stream on Hulu the following day, giving viewers another chance to watch the night’s major Creative Arts Emmy wins.
