Why Humaira Asghar’s Body Was Not Brought Home

Decomposed State of the Actress’s Remains Led to Direct Burial Decision in Lahore

The tragic death of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar continues to raise questions, as new details surrounding her funeral arrangements have surfaced. According to close sources, her body was not brought to her residence and was instead taken directly to the Model Town Q Block Graveyard in Lahore, where her funeral prayers were held on-site.

The decision was reportedly made due to the severely decomposed condition of her body, discovered nearly 8 to 10 months after her death.

Sources familiar with the matter shared that the state of the body had deteriorated so badly that even facial features were unrecognizable, and several parts of her body were missing muscle tissue due to natural decomposition.

The postmortem report confirmed that:

  • There were no signs of violence or trauma.

  • All bones were intact.

  • The body had reached the final stage of decomposition.

The authorities and family mutually agreed that bringing the body home might have caused emotional distress to family members and funeral attendees, hence the decision to avoid a home viewing or gathering.

It is important to note that Humaira’s body was discovered three days ago in her rented apartment in Defence Phase 6, Karachi, after neighbors reported a foul smell. The shocking discovery sent waves of grief through the entertainment industry and among her fans.

Her funeral was a low-key affair, attended only by a few close relatives and select individuals from the showbiz community, respecting both the family’s wishes and the sensitive nature of the situation.

As investigations continue into her isolated final months, fans and colleagues mourn the loss of a talented and sensitive soul, whose life ended in tragic silence.
