Rawalpindi, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the dream of destabilizing Pakistan, particularly Balochistan, will never be fulfilled.
Speaking during his visit to the Khuzdar and Basima areas in Balochistan, the military spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan Army, in collaboration with the people, will defeat terrorists and ensure the province’s steady progress.
Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif stated that the enemies of Pakistan want to see chaos and backwardness in Balochistan, but their ambitions will be crushed. He declared that the sacrifices of the people and the armed forces will not go in vain. “No power in the world can stop the progress of Balochistan now. Together with the people, we will uproot terrorism completely,” he said.
The DG ISPR paid tribute to the local population for their resilience and assured them that the Pakistan Army stands firmly with them. During his visit, he was briefed on the security situation and ongoing development projects under the command of Southern Command. He expressed satisfaction with the military’s preparedness and commended their efforts in maintaining peace.
He reiterated that Balochistan is the future of Pakistan, and any attempt to hinder its growth will be met with full force. “The armed forces are determined to defend every inch of the motherland, and the sacrifices made by the nation will not be forgotten,” he added.
The visit is being seen as a strong message to anti-state elements that the security forces are fully capable and resolute in their mission to protect the country. The statement by DG ISPR also reinforces the army’s commitment to development and peace in Balochistan.
This statement comes amid a renewed wave of terrorist attacks in Balochistan. In recent years, the province has been a target of insurgent activities. The Pakistan Army has launched multiple operations to stabilize the region and promote socio-economic uplift.
