Bollywood’s famous singer Arijit Singh is loved across the world for his soulful voice and emotional songs. But recently, a surprising fact about his concert fee has shocked many fans.
In a recent interview with Indian media, music composer Monty Sharma—nephew of legendary composer Pyarelal Sharma—revealed that Arijit Singh now charges around ₹2 crore (INR) for a single live performance.
Monty Sharma said, “There was a time when Arijit used to sit with me for 6–7 hours. Today, he’s such a big star that people are ready to pay ₹2 crore just to see him perform live.”
He also shared that platforms like YouTube and OTT have changed the income model of the music industry. “Earlier, people only listened to songs on radio or TV. Now, everything is online. Even if I sing a song for ₹15–20 lakh, about 90% of the rights still go to the audio company,” he added.
Arijit Singh’s popularity can be seen in both film songs and his global concert tours, where fans eagerly gather to hear him sing live.
