Government Approval for New Park Project
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the establishment of a dedicated Ladies and Children’s Park in Tanda, a town in the Gujrat district of Pakistan. The decision follows a formal proposal submitted by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gujrat, Noorul Ain, who emphasized the need for safe recreational spaces for women and young children in the area.
The announcement has been welcomed by local officials, community leaders, and residents, who say the project addresses a longstanding gap in family-friendly public facilities.
Inspection of Proposed Site
A team led by DC Noorul Ain visited the proposed site earlier today. She was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) Zulfiqar Ahmed, representatives of the District Council, and other relevant officials.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the initial layout, design concepts, and the list of planned amenities.

According to district administration officials, the tender for the project will be issued soon. After the bidding process concludes, construction will begin in multiple phases.
