US President Donald Trump has reportedly reserved some of his warmest praise for the Princess of Wales, describing Kate Middleton as “perfect” while privately discussing her cancer recovery.

Trump has repeatedly praised King Charles during his interactions with the British royal family. During the King and Queen’s visit to the United States in April 2026, he publicly called Charles the “greatest king”.

However, royal author Robert Hardman claims Trump also had glowing comments about other members of the Royal Family.

According to Hardman, Trump discussed Prince William during a conversation in the Oval Office and expressed confidence in his future as king.

“William, he’ll be a good King, won’t he?” Trump reportedly said. “He’s very nice. A great guy. I like him.”

Trump was reportedly even more complimentary when speaking about Kate.

Hardman, writing for the Daily Mail, said the US president described the Princess of Wales as “perfect” and “so great”.

Trump also reportedly asked about Kate’s health following her cancer diagnosis and praised her strength during her recovery.

“She was sick, people said crazy things about her, and she was so brave,” Trump reportedly said.

Trump previously praised Kate’s appearance

Trump’s latest reported comments come months after his previous meeting with Kate at a state banquet at Windsor Castle in September.

The Princess of Wales was seated next to Trump during the formal dinner and attended the event wearing a couture gown by British designer Phillipa Lepley.

After the occasion, Trump praised Kate publicly, describing her as “so radiant, and so healthy and so beautiful”.

The remarks add to Trump’s long-standing public admiration for the British Royal Family, particularly King Charles, Prince William and Princess Kate.
