The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has accelerated its election campaign preparations for two constituencies in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), with Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Bilal Azhar Kayani chairing a high-level consultative meeting in Islamabad.
The meeting was held on the instructions of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif to review campaign arrangements and finalize polling day plans for the upcoming elections. Party leaders discussed ways to strengthen grassroots mobilization and ensure effective coordination throughout the campaign.
Candidates and Senior Leaders Attend
The meeting was attended by Raja Muhammad Siddique, the PML-N’s nominated candidate for LA-39 Jammu-6, and Shaukat Ali Shah, the party’s nominee for LA-42 Valley-3. They were joined by several senior party leaders and office-bearers.
Among those present were PML-N Rawalpindi President and Member of the National Assembly Malik Ibrar, former MNA Matloob Mehdi, former Rawalpindi Mayor Sardar Naseem Khan, and other senior party representatives from Jhelum.
Campaign and Polling Day Strategy Finalized
Participants reviewed the party’s ongoing election campaign and considered recommendations presented during the meeting before finalizing the overall election strategy.
Special attention was given to polling day planning for both constituencies, with discussions focusing on organizational arrangements, voter mobilization, and coordination among party workers. Responsibilities for managing the election campaign were assigned across all four tehsils of Jhelum district to ensure smooth execution of campaign activities.
Follow-Up Review Meeting Planned
The participants agreed to hold another review meeting in Jhelum in the coming days to evaluate campaign progress and assess the party’s preparedness for the elections in both constituencies.
The meeting reflects the PML-N’s efforts to strengthen its organizational structure and coordinate campaign activities as the party seeks to maximize its performance in the upcoming AJK elections.
