Prince Harry’s team has sought to clarify concerns surrounding the finances of his environmental travel initiative Travalyst after the organisation reported a loss of more than £13,000 in its latest accounts.
The development comes as the Duke of Sussex faces increased financial commitments, including legal costs following his unsuccessful lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mail, as well as expenses related to his family’s security arrangements in the UK.
Reports have also suggested that Harry and Meghan may spend significantly on establishing a UK base while retaining their home in Montecito, California, and their property in Portugal.
Travalyst reports £13,542 loss
Annual accounts for Travalyst Limited showed that the organisation recorded a loss of £13,542 in 2025.
However, a spokesperson for the organisation told The Sun that the loss was not an indication of financial difficulties and had been anticipated as part of its operations.
“It was a planned and small loss of £13,000, very typical of a lean, not-for-profit organisation, making a critical investment for the future,” the spokesperson said.
The representative added that Travalyst remained confident in its financial oversight and the strength of its partnerships.

The organisation was established by Harry in 2019, shortly before he and Meghan stepped back from their roles as senior working members of the British royal family and subsequently moved to the United States.
Travalyst aims to promote more sustainable travel by working with businesses and other organisations across the tourism industry.
Harry faces multiple financial commitments
The financial update comes as Harry continues to deal with several major expenses.
His legal battle against Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Daily Mail, resulted in a significant legal bill after the court proceedings ended unsuccessfully for the Duke.
Harry has also been involved in an ongoing dispute over his security arrangements in the UK following his decision to step back from royal duties and relocate to the United States.
Meanwhile, attention has turned to the upcoming Invictus Games in Birmingham, where funding and broadcasting arrangements have reportedly been a concern.
Amazon has emerged as a major broadcasting partner for the Games, providing a commercial agreement that is expected to support coverage of the event.
