Trump Hints at Gaza Ceasefire Next Week Amid Positive Signs

Hope for Peace Rises as Hamas Responds Positively to Mediation Efforts from Qatar and the U.S.

Washington: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed hope that a ceasefire agreement for Gaza could be finalized as early as next week. Speaking to reporters in Washington, Trump stated that the United States is actively engaged in efforts to resolve the conflict and is sending significant humanitarian aid to the region.

“We are optimistic about a Gaza deal next week,” Trump said. “We’re sending a lot of aid to Gaza and remain hopeful for a peaceful resolution.” He also mentioned plans to discuss Iran’s nuclear program with the Israeli Prime Minister, noting, “We dismantled their program once, but they could try to restart it.”

Trump added that discussions are ongoing with Russia, China, and other countries on trade and defense. “We are very close to finalizing the TikTok deal, and either I or someone from the administration might visit China soon,” he said.

Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance group Hamas issued an official statement confirming they have given a positive response to the latest ceasefire proposal mediated by Qatar and the U.S. They expressed readiness to enter a new round of negotiations to implement the agreement.

According to Hamas, the proposed deal includes key points such as a ceasefire, humanitarian aid delivery, exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, and easing of restrictions. Israel has also confirmed receipt of Hamas’s response and stated that it is under review.

This significant development comes amid months of relentless Israeli bombardment in Gaza, which has caused a severe humanitarian crisis, leaving thousands dead, millions displaced, and vital infrastructure in ruins. If successful, the ceasefire deal could not only protect countless lives but also pave the way for long-term peace in the Middle East.
