A £50,000 reward has been announced following violent attacks on the family home and business of two British-Pakistani Conservative politicians in Hounslow, West London. The incidents, which included an arson attempt and property damage, have raised serious concerns over political intimidation and safety.

Reward Announced to Identify Attackers

Conservative politician Umer Farooq has offered a £50,000 reward for information leading to the identification of those responsible for the attacks. The move comes after his family home and business premises were targeted in separate incidents described by the victims as coordinated and deliberate.

Farooq stated that the aim of the reward is to encourage witnesses to come forward and assist law enforcement in identifying the perpetrators.

Attack on Family Home

According to reports, the family residence of Umer Farooq and fellow Conservative politician Tariq Aziz was attacked in Hounslow when bricks were thrown through windows on both the upper and lower floors of the property.

The attack caused significant damage to the home and left family members deeply shaken. Relatives reportedly narrowly escaped injury as debris came dangerously close to striking people inside the house. A vehicle parked outside the property was also destroyed.

Arson Attempt on Business Premises

Within 24 hours of the home attack, Farooq’s airline ticketing business was targeted in a suspected firebombing incident. CCTV footage reportedly shows a masked individual arriving in a car, pouring petrol near a vehicle, and setting it alight before fleeing the scene.

The fire spread rapidly, causing extensive damage to the entrance of the office. Emergency services arrived within minutes and managed to contain the blaze before it could destroy the entire building.

Farooq described the incident as a “planned and professional” attack and claimed the perpetrators used a stolen vehicle.

Political Tensions and Local Context

The attacks come shortly after local council elections in which Labour faced significant losses across parts of the United Kingdom, though it retained control in Hounslow. The borough has a large Pakistani and South Asian population, and political competition in the area has reportedly intensified.

Some local Conservative supporters have linked rising political tensions to campaigning activity and electoral shifts. However, no official evidence has been presented publicly to support claims of political involvement in the attacks.

Police Investigation Underway

Police have confirmed that investigations into both incidents are ongoing and that evidence, including CCTV footage, is being examined. Authorities have not yet made any arrests or identified suspects.

Meanwhile, the local Labour Party has denied any involvement in the attacks.

Community Reaction

Community figures have condemned the violence, calling it a dangerous escalation in political rivalry. Local businessman and community leader Nisar Malik said that intimidation and attacks on families have no place in a democratic society and urged all political groups to maintain peace and respect.

As investigations continue, the incidents have sparked wider concerns about political safety and rising tensions at the local level. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as efforts intensify to identify those responsible.
