British media personality Katie Price has defended her recent marriage to businessman Lee Andrews, responding to critics who questioned the suddenness of the union. In a candid interview, she also opened up about her past “toxic” relationships and explained why she feels confident and happy in her new marriage.

Opening Up on National TV

The 47-year-old former glamour model appeared on the ITV breakfast show Good Morning Britain, speaking with hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls about her “shotgun wedding” to Lee Andrews.

During the conversation, Susanna Reid admitted she would be “concerned” if a friend had married someone they had only recently met, questioning the whirlwind nature of Katie’s decision.

Katie Price Responds to Criticism

In response, Katie said that no one can ever truly know another person completely. Reflecting on her past marriages, she noted that relationships often evolve in unexpected ways. She shared that many of her previous relationships were unhealthy, including mental, emotional, and at times physical abuse.

Katie explained that her life experience now allows her to recognize “red flags” in a relationship. At this stage in her life, she feels empowered to make her own decisions, regardless of outside opinion.

Love and Happiness with Lee Andrews

Katie emphasized that her relationship with Lee Andrews is entirely different from any she has had before. She described it as fulfilling and emotionally secure. She also revealed that she had only truly fallen in love twice before—once with singer Dane Bowers and once with former husband Peter Andre.

According to Katie, her connection with Lee is unique and “just feels right,” giving her a sense of happiness and stability she hadn’t experienced in previous relationships.

The Dubai Weddings

Katie and Lee Andrews first married in January at the luxury One&Only Royal Mirage hotel in Dubai, exchanging vows in the hotel’s lush gardens just two days after announcing their engagement, which took place at another iconic Dubai hotel, Burj Al Arab.

The couple later held a second legal ceremony in February to complete formal requirements. The rapid sequence of events surprised fans and concerned her family, but Katie insists the decision was right for her and that she is happy with her new life.
