A Festival With History
Lollapalooza was first held in 1991 as a farewell tour for the alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction. Originally a traveling festival, it has since evolved into a stationary, multi-genre musical celebration, becoming Chicago’s signature summer event. Over the years, it has earned a reputation for delivering a global, multi-dimensional music experience that appeals to fans of all ages.
With its mix of legendary acts, rising stars, and genre-defying performances, Lollapalooza 2026 promises to keep the festival’s legacy alive while offering music lovers an immersive and electrifying four-day experience at Grant Park.
