MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unharmed after his BMW was targeted in a shooting outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening.
Around five rounds were reportedly fired at the vehicle, injuring Shroff’s driver, identified in reports as Firdous Ibrahim Baloch. The driver sustained a bullet wound to his left wrist, while Shroff did not suffer any gunshot injuries.
Mumbai Police confirmed that a firing incident had taken place within the jurisdiction of Juhu police station and said the actor was safe.
“A firing incident has been reported under Juhu police station. Actor Tiger Shroff is safe and has not sustained any gunshot injuries. Further investigation is underway,” police said in a statement quoted by ANI.
Shroff Rushes Injured Driver to Hospital
Following the shooting, Shroff reportedly took control of the BMW and drove towards Santacruz Police Station.
Police subsequently escorted the actor and his injured driver to Nanavati Hospital to ensure that the driver received immediate medical attention.
A video circulating on social media reportedly showed Shroff moving into the driver’s seat after the incident.
His actions prompted praise from social media users, who described the actor’s response as an attempt to help his injured employee immediately after the shooting.
Three Suspects Arrested
According to reports, Mumbai Police have arrested three people in connection with the shooting.
The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation aimed at determining how the attack was planned and identifying everyone involved.
Police are also examining available evidence, including footage and other information gathered during the investigation.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Allegedly Claims Responsibility
The shooting has also drawn attention after reports claimed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the attack.
According to The Statesman, a person identified as Anil Pandit, who was described as a gang member, allegedly claimed that he carried out the shooting with an accomplice named Harman Sandhu.
The reported claim has not, however, been independently established by the available police statement, and investigators are continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Lawrence Bishnoi network has previously been linked by Indian authorities and media reports to several high-profile cases involving violence, threats and alleged extortion.
Gang Linked to Previous High-Profile Cases
The Bishnoi organisation has been associated with the 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and the 2024 murder of politician Baba Siddique in Mumbai.
The network has also been linked to a shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area in April 2024.
Other reported incidents have included shootings connected to targets in India and Canada.
American prosecutors have described the Bishnoi organisation as a transnational criminal network and alleged that it uses public claims of violence to intimidate targets and support extortion activities.
Mumbai Police Investigate Attack
The latest shooting has prompted a wider investigation by Mumbai Police, who are examining the circumstances of the attack and working to establish the identities and roles of those responsible.
While Shroff escaped physical injury, the shooting has raised fresh concerns over targeted attacks involving prominent figures in Mumbai.
Investigators are expected to examine the motive behind the incident, the reported claim of responsibility and the evidence gathered following the arrests.
