No Talks Until Israeli Attacks Stop, Declares Iranian Foreign Minister

Abbas Araghchi issues a firm warning ahead of Geneva diplomatic meeting amid rising Israel-Iran conflict.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has firmly stated that Iran-Israel attacks negotiations cannot happen under the current circumstances, where Israeli aggression continues to threaten Iranian territory.

Speaking to Iran’s state television, Araghchi emphasized:

“As long as Israel continues its attacks on our territory, we are not ready to talk to any party.”

This statement comes just ahead of a critical Geneva diplomatic meeting, where Araghchi is scheduled to meet the European foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. These discussions aim to revive Iran’s nuclear talks in 2025 and find a peaceful resolution.

The situation has intensified after the Israel-Iran conflict escalation last week, marked by heavy Israeli airstrikes on Iranian positions. This marks the first major Western diplomatic effort to de-escalate tensions and restore dialogue.

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who is also attending the Geneva summit, mentioned:
There is a diplomatic window in the coming two weeks,” after concluding meetings with U.S. officials in Washington regarding the ongoing Middle East tensions.

Unless the attacks cease, Iran has made it clear that Iran Israeli attacks negotiations remain off the table, reinforcing its stance through this latest Abbas Araghchi statement.
