Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has stated that Pakistan’s nuclear program is fully secure and invincible, asserting that no one can dare to target it.
In an interview with Al Jazeera TV, he emphasized that Pakistan is a responsible and declared nuclear power. He said the country’s nuclear capability not only guarantees national defense but also maintains the strategic balance in the region. He expressed complete confidence in Pakistan’s nuclear security.
Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif further stated that India is using terrorism as a state policy against Pakistan, especially through orchestrated efforts to destabilize Balochistan. He held Indian intelligence agencies and leadership responsible for these actions, pointing out that India has openly admitted to interfering in Pakistan on multiple occasions. He named former RAW chief Ajit Doval as the mastermind behind this network.
The DG ISPR clarified that groups attacking the state and military are referred to as “Khawarij,” and that in Islam, the authority to declare jihad or armed struggle lies solely with the state. No individual, group, or organization has this right. He said the term “Fitna-e-Hindustan” refers to terrorist elements supported by India.
During the interview, he also expressed solidarity with Iran, affirming that Pakistan fully supports Iran at political and diplomatic levels in the face of Israeli aggression.
