Nishat Group, one of Pakistan’s largest business conglomerates, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with premium new energy mobility brand LUXEED in Wuhu, China, to explore the brand’s introduction into the Pakistani market.

The partnership aims to combine the strengths and resources of both companies to support Pakistan’s evolving new energy vehicle ecosystem through advanced technology, local market expertise and customer-focused mobility solutions. Senior representatives from both sides attended the signing ceremony.

Nishat Group Expands Its Automotive Portfolio

Nishat Group has established a significant presence across several sectors of Pakistan’s economy, including textiles, cement, banking, insurance, power and agriculture. Its diversified business portfolio and investment capabilities have also supported its expansion into the automotive industry.

Through NexGen Auto, the group introduced OMODA and JAECOO to Pakistan in August 2025, supported by a reported investment of $100 million and local assembly operations in Faisalabad.

According to the announcement, the brands recorded more than 15,000 customer deliveries during their first year in the market. NexGen Auto has also introduced iCAUR to Pakistan in collaboration with Chery Group, unveiling the brand at the Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS) 2026.

The proposed cooperation with LUXEED represents another step in Nishat Group’s expansion into the premium new energy vehicle segment. The company aims to bring advanced automotive technology to Pakistan while supporting the transition towards more environmentally friendly mobility.

What LUXEED Offers

LUXEED is a premium new energy vehicle brand developed through a partnership between Chinese automaker Chery and technology company Huawei. It operates under Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), which combines automotive manufacturing expertise with intelligent vehicle technologies.

Under the partnership, Chery is responsible for vehicle manufacturing and engineering, while Huawei contributes technologies including its HarmonyOS smart cockpit, Qiankun advanced driver-assistance system and digital driving solutions.

LUXEED positions its brand around three central themes: intelligence, luxury and driving pleasure. Its brand proposition, “I DRIVE, YOU ENJOY,” emphasises combining driving performance with comfort, safety and technology designed around the user.

On October 21, LUXEED held a global brand launch event in Wuhu, China, highlighting its approach to premium mobility and the integration of intelligent technologies into the driving experience.

Chery Group’s Global Automotive Presence

LUXEED benefits from the international manufacturing and research capabilities of Chery Group, which has a substantial presence in global automotive markets.

The company has ranked first among Chinese passenger-vehicle brands in exports for 23 consecutive years and has recorded cumulative global sales exceeding 20 million vehicles, according to the announcement.

Chery’s manufacturing infrastructure, research and development network and overseas market experience provide a foundation for the international expansion of its automotive brands.

Pakistani consumers have already encountered Chery Group through OMODA, JAECOO and iCAUR, brands introduced locally through Nishat Group’s automotive operations.

What the Partnership Could Mean for Pakistani Consumers

Pakistan’s new energy vehicle market is gradually expanding, creating opportunities for manufacturers offering electric vehicles and other advanced mobility technologies. However, the availability of premium, technology-focused options remains an important consideration for prospective buyers.

The Nishat Group–LUXEED partnership aims to address this segment by developing a local presence supported by products, services and customer support. The announcement highlights the importance of vehicle availability, after-sales service and consumer confidence in establishing a successful automotive brand.

If the planned introduction moves forward, LUXEED could broaden the range of premium new energy vehicles available to Pakistani customers while strengthening competition in the country’s evolving automotive market.

The collaboration also reflects growing interest in combining international automotive technology with local investment, distribution and market expertise.

LUXEED Pakistan Launch Details Awaited

Nishat Group has not yet announced the specific LUXEED models planned for Pakistan, their technical specifications, prices or expected launch dates.

Further details are expected to be shared by the group at a later stage. Until then, the agreement signals the companies’ intention to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s premium new energy mobility segment, although the final product lineup and launch timeline remain unconfirmed.
