Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian will arrive in Pakistan on August 2 for a two-day official visit. According to the Foreign Office, this will be his first visit to Pakistan as President, and it is taking place on the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The official statement added that President Pezeshkian will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
During the visit, Dr. Pezeshkian will hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and engage in formal delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Foreign Office said the visit aims to strengthen the brotherly ties between the two neighboring countries. It’s worth mentioning that PM Shehbaz Sharif visited Iran earlier this year on May 27, and this upcoming visit is being seen as a significant step in enhancing Pakistan-Iran diplomatic relations.
