Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence said Wednesday that the danger had passed in Najran province after authorities issued an earlier warning of a potential threat.
In a statement posted on X, the Civil Defence urged residents to continue following official instructions and avoid gathering or filming in affected areas.
Second Alert Issued for Najran
Wednesday’s announcement marked the second security alert issued for Najran during the day.
Earlier, Saudi authorities had also warned residents in Riyadh province about a potential danger before subsequently announcing that the threat had passed.
The authorities did not provide further details about the nature of the warnings or identify the source of the potential threats.
Airstrikes Target Houthi Positions in Yemen
Meanwhile, four airstrikes reportedly targeted weapons depots and military vehicles belonging to Yemen’s Houthi group at the Central Security Camp in Al-Bayda province.
Al-Jumhuriya TV reported the strikes on Wednesday, citing field sources. The broadcaster did not identify who carried out the attacks or provide details about casualties and the extent of the damage.
The Houthis control most of Al-Bayda, a strategically important province in central Yemen that borders eight other governorates.
The broadcaster also reported that Houthi missile shelling targeted the area around Al-Allala military camp in Qatabah district, northern Al-Dhalea governorate. The attack reportedly caused deaths and injuries among military recruits.
Fighting Spreads Across Several Fronts
Separately, Aden TV reported that an ambush killed or wounded Houthi fighters during an attempted infiltration in the Al-Aqroud area, south of Taiz.
The broadcaster also said artillery belonging to government-aligned forces targeted Houthi positions along the fronts in Marib.
In another reported incident, the Houthis allegedly struck a prison located at the Iron Factory in Lahj province with a ballistic missile. Aden TV said there were reports of deaths and injuries among detainees inside the facility.
The casualty figures and details of the reported attacks could not be independently confirmed from the information provided.

Yemen’s Conflict Enters Another Phase
Yemeni government forces have been conducting an operation called “Dawn of Yemen” since October 5, aimed at regaining control of state institutions and retaking the capital, Sanaa, from the Houthis.
Fighting between the two sides reportedly resumed in July, ending a period of relative calm that had continued since April 2022. According to United Nations reports cited in the source, the renewed violence has killed and wounded thousands and displaced more than 250,000 people.
The escalation has further worsened Yemen’s humanitarian crisis, with continued fighting and displacement placing additional pressure on an already vulnerable population.
Background of Yemen’s Civil War
Yemen has been engulfed in civil war since the Houthis seized Sanaa and several other provinces in September 2014.
In March 2015, a Saudi-led coalition intervened in support of the internationally recognised Yemeni government, turning the conflict into a wider regional confrontation.
Despite periods of reduced fighting and diplomatic efforts, the conflict continues to threaten regional stability and deepen Yemen’s humanitarian emergency.
